GET TO KNOW ME

I have been a Clinical Psychologist since 1993.  I qualified at University of Pretoria (Speech and Hearing therapy), I did my Honours at University of Johannesburg (Cum Laude) and I finished my Master’s Degree at the University of the Witwatersrand.  I did my internship at Tara Hospital in Johannesburg.
I have worked in several hospitals and had a private practice in Johannesburg and Kimberley before I moved to Hermanus in the Western Cape in 2016.
I specialize in Marital Therapy/ couples’ counselling, Mood Disorders (anxiety, depression and bipolar mood disorder) and Substance Abuse. I enjoy working with teenagers who are experiencing problems.  I also do parental counselling with parents of children of all ages.
I have a keen knowledge of psychopharmacology and have a good knowledge of medication patients are using. I therefore liaise with most referring doctors, should a patient be in need of medication.
My practice is contracted into most medical aids and sessions are charged at the recommended Medical Aid Rates. Those without medical aid rates are charged according to a sliding scale and the fees are discussed prior to the beginning of therapy.
Practice hours: Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm.  Saturday appointments can be arranged if and when the need arises.
